Center for the Protection of Free Expression Awards "Jefferson Muzzles"
On April 13, the Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free
Expression celebrated Jefferson's birthday by awarding the 12th annual
"Jefferson Muzzles." These dubious awards are given to those whose
actions would stifle freedom of expression, going against Jefferson's
core beliefs. This year's awardees include Attorney General John
Ashcroft and the U.S. Congress.
